Car Rental – Damage Management Policy

At Travelticketshop.com, we know that most customers drive carefully and that accidents are uncommon. However, if your rental vehicle is damaged, it’s important to understand how such situations are handled.

This Damage Management Policy explains how charges may apply if damage occurs during your rental. Please also review our Terms & Conditions for full details.

Liability for Vehicle Damage

Your responsibility depends on the type of protection or coverage you selected at the time of booking:

  • In some cases, you may have no liability
  • In others, you may be partially responsible

Types of Damage

Damage charges depend on the severity:

  • Light Damage – Minor scratches, dents, chips, or loss/damage of keys, accessories, or documents
  • Tyre Damage – Damage requiring tyre replacement
  • Serious Damage – Damage beyond light or tyre damage, but not a total loss
  • Total Loss – The vehicle is beyond economical repair

Damage Identified at Vehicle Return

When you return the car, it will be inspected in your presence.

Light Damage

If minor damage is found and acknowledged by your signature:

  • An invoice will be issued
  • Charges include a Light Damage Administration Fee (per our Tariff Guide)

Serious Damage / Total Loss

If serious damage is found or suspected, you will receive:

  • A return condition report
  • Photos of the damage
  • An invoice including:
    • Applicable Administration Charges
    • Engineer’s Assessment Fee (except for tyre/windscreen cases)
    • Loss of use charges for vehicle downtime

Damage Identified After Rental Completion

If damage is discovered after the vehicle has been returned:

You will receive:

  • A detailed condition report
  • Photographic evidence
  • An invoice including Administration Fees, Engineer’s Fees (if applicable), and loss of use charges

Claims & Disputes

If you have questions or wish to dispute a damage charge:

  • Contact us within 14 days of receiving your damage documentation
  • If no response is received, invoicing may proceed
